This is the name of the EnglishLab.Net in-house magazine. I initially thought that it would be a blog of mine or a school magazine, but the concept has evolved over the past few years. The posts or rather articles are not only for learners of English or teachers of English. Some of them are of interest to a wider audience. Some are general- or human-interest. Some constitute answers to questions that students and colleagues of mine as well as readers of my blogs ask me, and those can be rather unusual focus- or scope-wise. What they have in common, though, is that they all have something to do with the ELN online language school and\/or language learning and teaching, not necessarily revolving around ELT. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ELN Insider has a large number of rubrics. Each rubric or topic has its own logo. The logos normally feature either Ziggy the Cat<\/strong>, or Phemie the Owl<\/strong>, or me personally<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

All of the above implies that the ELN Insider is a kind of distributed social blogging system or entity, or in-house magazine, different parts of which are hosted on different platforms. What is interesting is that different people read different parts, and some are not aware that other parts exist. On top of this some parts of the magazine are essentially closed groups on social networking websites, and access to those groups is restricted to … ELN insiders. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
